Bristol Airport announces new route to Jersey
Wednesday, October 12, 2011
If you’re a fan of double cream or new potatoes, you’ll be delighted to hear the news of a brand new twice daily flight from Bristol Airport to Jersey.
According to our Bristol Meet and Greet team, the new service will be run by the Channel Islands-based airline Blue Islands and will depart twice a day Monday to Friday. The flights will use a 19-seat Jetstream aircraft and are scheduled to leave Bristol at 09:40 and 17:45.
It’s thought that the new service will prove very popular with both holidaymakers, and South West-based firms who use the Channel Islands for business purposes. Bristol Airport’s service providers are also set to benefit from the new flights and associated increase in passenger numbers - everyone from retailers to the companies who provide Meet and Greet car parking at Bristol Airport.
For anyone looking to travel further afield than the Channel Islands from the South West, the new route will also offer onward connections to Zurich from Jersey. The Blue Islands route to Zurich from Bristol via Jersey will offer the quickest journey time to Switzerland’s biggest city from the South West, making it an attractive prospect for business travellers.
Unlike other airlines Blue Islands operates a ‘no hidden charges’ pricing policy which includes free ticket changes and no additional charges for checking in baggage or processing credit card payments. More information can be found at www.blueislands.com.
