Exeter Airport nominated for Best UK Airport award
Tuesday, October 11, 2011
This week Exeter Airport has announced the exciting news that it has been nominated in the Best UK Airport category of the prestigious Travel Weekly Globe Travel Awards.
The Globe Travel Awards are voted for by a mixture of professional travel agents and consumers, making them an important measure of a business or brand’s success within the travel industry.
Voting for this year’s awards commenced on 19th November and will close on 11th December 2010, ahead of the awards ceremony at Grosvenor House, in London's Park Lane in January next year.
Exeter Airport has been nominated in a category that enables travel agents to recognise an airport that has gone the extra mile with services or products that exceed the rest. It’s hoped that their outstanding customer service will stand them in good stead on the big day.
Jamie Christon, Exeter Airport’s managing director said: “We were very pleased to have been nominated in the Travel Weekly Globes, which are regarded as the most prestigious accolades in the industry.
“For many years the awards have given the travel industry a platform to voice their appreciation of an airport where their clients have received good service. We now hope that during the next few weeks the travel agents in the South West will consider voting for Exeter.”
